I-Corps alum Assurtek Surgical is commercializing the world’s first AI-powered dental drill technology. Known as OsteoSmartSense, the drill provides real-time detection of nerves, sinuses, and other structures to reduce risk of injury in dental implant surgery.
Alicia Everitt, Ph.D. founded Assurtek with Professor Ryan Halter and Michael Salin, D.M.D. Assurtek was one of 128 startups out of 1,300 applications selected to participate in the MassChallenge 2024 U.S. Early-Stage Accelerator Program and won the 2025 Boston Regional Startup World Cup.
