Aneurisk, a Pittsburgh-based medical software startup, has hired eight employees and raised over $1 million to develop AI-enabled tools to improve the diagnosis and management of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). The company’s platform analyzes medical images and clinical data, reconstructs 3D models of AAA, and characterizes biomechanical and morphological features. These outputs provide clinicians with efficient, consistent insights to support decision-making in surveillance and intervention planning. Through I-Corps, they identified key workflow challenges and decision-making gaps in AAA management. They are applying these learnings to refine product features, target the most impactful clinical use cases, and align their commercialization strategy with stakeholder needs. Aneurisk aims to deliver predictive risk analysis to enhance clinical confidence, reduce unnecessary interventions, and improve patient outcomes.
